AIHRA and others stage protest against land grabbers | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 26 - All India Human Right Association (AIHRA) President (J&K) , Naresh Kumar Talla and General Secretary Mahesh Padha staged a protest march in front of Div Com Office at Panama Chowk along with the all the aggrieved parties who alleged that their complaints against the land grabbing Mafia headed by one Mohinder Singh and his brother employed in police have not been entertained. The association has also alleged that another police official posted at Domana, Jammu is actively conniving with these land grabber and is providing protection to them and alleged that he has even not honoured the orders issued by his senior as well as by the court for taking action against the culprits. Addressing the media persons Naresh Kumar Talla and Padha alleged that due to the patronage and protection provided by some erring police official, no action is being taken against the land mafia despite the strict order from the higher police authorities like IG police, DIG Jammu & Kashmir Range and SSP Jammu. The Association however expressed pleasure for the present DIG, Farooq Khan, who had also initiated enquiry against the culprits but the lower police officials sat upon this enquiry only to discourage the complaints. All India Human Rights Association expressed concern about mental harassment the aggrieved families are facing due to the inaction by the administration against these land grabber and also demanded police protection to the aggrieved families These aggrieved families who were presented before the media and signed complaint included senior citizen of 80 year of age S Himmat Singh of Preet Nagar, S Harinder Singh of Gandhi Nagar Jammu, A K Koul of Subash Nagar Rehari colony and others. |
