Sham inspects site for blood bank at Sarwal hospital | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: The Minister for health, Sham Lal Sharma today inspected site for the establishment of Blood Bank, here at Sarwal Hospital. MLA Prof Chaman lal Gupta, Director Health Dr. Madhu Khullar, Superintendent Sarwal hospital Dr. Arun Sharma and other officers accompanied the minister during the visit. The discussed the modalities for accelerating the establishment of the much needed Blood Bank in the Hospital. He asked the Director Health and Hospital management to maintain coordination and finalise all the codal formalities, including the blue print for the Blood Bank Building and creation of required infrastructure. The Minister also inspected the site identified for the construction of blood bank building and also gave some suggestions for ensuring adequate space and infrastructure for the vital facility. He said that the Government was committed to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of the State at their doorsteps and creation of such crucial facilities is imperative for the same. He said it was endeavour of the Government to create blood bank facilities at all the Hospitals of the State. Presently all the DHS are having this facility and quality of blood Storage was being closely monitored, he added. The minister also visited various sections of the Hospital and directed the doctors to provide best medicare to the patients. He also stressed for maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings in the hospital premises. He also interacted with the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. |
