Militancy Migrants holds protest at Mahdopur

KATHUA, Mar 26: Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Beg Chairman militancy affected areas in Jammu while addressing a meeting cum protest at Mahdopur reiterated the long pending demands and alleged that nobody is listening to their woes.
Speaking at the protest Beg and Ex-chairman Sher Singh alleged the state coalition Govt for harassing and terrorizing them to stop our demands for rehabilitation, he said that we migrants reached at Mahdopur but our hundreds of migrants have not reached till time and no information of their where about and it is doubted that JK police may have their role behind their missing.
On the occasion protestors were gathered at Mahdopur while coming from Jammu and going to Delhi to put for their demands before the Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, amidst sloganeering against the Coalition Govt and in favor of their demands accused the state Govt of ignoring militancy affected Doda migrants who have been displaced due to militancy by force since 1990 from their native place Doda forcing them to come on roads.
They mentioned that six years and some months have passed since they started protest dharna at Mubarak Mandi opposite Div Com Office Jammu for demanding justice and rights.
In protest demonstration the District president of Panther Party Ravinder Singh Pathania said that the Doda migrants are on dharna protest for last five years but nobody paid any heed towards we people. They accused state Govt for victimizing them and also demanded that the direct intervention of human rights commission to check the violations of rights of theses affected migrant families. He further said that The Supreme Court in a judgment had directed that Doda migrants should be treated on a par with Kashmiri Pandits on the grounds that there could not be two different parameters for the same set of people. At last they warned to stage permanently dharna at Delhi if we will not get justice from Delhi.
