| Kidnapped girl recovered, accused held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Police today recovered from Batote the minor girl who was abducted from her residence at Gantwal in Chenani on March 11 last, besides apprehending the accused. The report about the abduction of the girl was lodged with police by her brother Jang Bahadur. In it, he alleged that she had been kidnapped from their residence at Gantwal. Acting on the complaint, the Chenani police registered a case under section 376 of RPC.
Police sources said during investigation, cops developed information about the presence of the girl at her kidnapper's house at Chakwa, Batote.
The house was then raided and the girl recovered from there. The accused, whom sources identified as Rinku, son of Balku, was also arrested.The girl was restored to her parents after her medical examination. |
