| HC directs BOPEE to admit petitioner in MBBS course | | | early times report
JAMMU, Mar 26: High court judge, Justice Hasnain Massodi today directed Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) to grant admission to the petitioner under scheduled tribe Gujjar Bakkarwal (STGB) category. Responding to petition filed by Faiza Choudhary who had got 117 marks in the common entrance test conducted by BOPEE in 2010. Of 15 total seats under STGB category, seven were reserved boys and girls respecetively and the remaining one seat was to be filled by a female candidate but she failed in the cut-off score point of 121. Justice Massodi, allowed the petition and directed that the petitioner shall be granted admission to MBBS course against seat under STGB category lying vacant at present.
