| Zahoor for proper location of industrial units | | | Jammu, Jan 24
Member Legislative Assembly, Pampore Mir Zahoor Ahmed has urged for relocation of 8 new private cement units in Khrew area as the location of these units are creating environmental pollution in the area. In a statement issued here today, Mr. Zahoor said that with the alarming situation in the area, the inhabitants have been subjected to hazards and are expressing strong resentment. He said that either these units be fitted with pollution checking devices or be shifted to some suitable place from the habitations. He said while setting up of new industrial units in the area checking of noise pollution must be kept in view to save the human life and flora and fauna of the area which otherwise would be subjected to acute adversities.
Mir Zahoor said that the sky ash produced during the operation of these units creates asthmatic bronchitis diseases to the people especially among the old age. |
