Swarankar Sangh protest continues | | | JAMMU , Mar 27 : As a part of its ongoing protest against Ministry of Finance, Government of India, shopkeepers dealing with the marketing of gold metal and golden ornaments hold a massive protest in the main City Chowk and showed their resentment towards government for imposition of new taxes on gold trading. Under the chairmanship of District president of Swarankar Sangh Rajouri, Raghuvir Saraf, these traders showed black clothes to government and termed new taxes as black taxes. Shouting slogans against Government of India and Ministry of Finance along with Finance Minister Pranab Mukhrjee in particular, these trading gold traders said that government is just creating problems for them and is failing badly on its economic policies. It is pertinent that shopkeepers and traders dealing with the business of gold and manufacturing of golden ornaments, are on untimely strike from past several days against imposition of new taxes over them. In Rajouri, shops of gold traders are close from past several days and they have sticked black coloured posters and have flagged black clothes outside close shutters of their shops. |
