41 vehicles owned by 'Brick kiln units ' booked for 'price violation' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: About 41 vehiclesloaded with brick kiln and owned by some brick kiln owners were booked during raidsjointly conducted by DC Jammu Sanjeev Verma and SSP Jammu Prabat Singh indifferent areas of Jammudistrict. Police spokesperson told that 41 Vehicles i.e. Tipper,Trucks and Tractor Trolleys were intercepted at Ploura Naka, Satwari, GreaterKailash and Trikuta Nagar area in the wee hours before the no-entry of heavyvehicles. "All the drivers of 41 vehicles failed to produce bills of dispatch andalso failed to produce particulars of buyers etc, spokesperson said furtheradding, "during the preliminary enquiry it was suspected that the Bricks loadedin the vehicles are undersized and half-backed and completely found to be aviolation of Jammu and Kashmir Brick Kiln (Regulation) Act, 2010, cheating togeneral masses, violation of Dy Commissioner's Orders and violation of License conditions." "The matter was referred to Dy. Commissioner Jammu fornecessary action, who himself inspected all the Bricks kilns alongwith DyController Legal Metrology and a team of Officers and found gross violation ofJammu and Kashmir Brick Kiln (Regulation) Act, 2010. There after Dy. Commissioner Jammu aftertaking the subject into consideration lodged FIRs, police said. Later the fleetof brick loaded trucks were taken to the District Police Line, Jammu for further action while the cases were registeredat Police Stations Nowabad, Satwari, Gangyal and Trikuta Nagar Jammu andfollowing Brick Kiln Owners, Drivers of the vehicles have been booked U/S 13,14, 15,16 and 21 Jammu and Kashmir Brick Kiln (Regulation) Act read with Sec.420, 188 RPC.
