| 3-Day Basohli painting camp inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: Commissioner/Secretary Tourism and Culture Atal Dulloo inaugurated 3-day Basohli miniature painting camp at Kala Kendra here on Tuesday.
Describing the event as a 'well thought out programme', Dulloo said that the Basohli art of the state was being recognised across the globe and the Academy would do whatever it can to promote it. Later while interacting with the participants Dulloo said that since the art form is very impressive and involves greater expertise the Academy would see to it that Basohli painting workshops are made a regular feature. Among others present on the occasion were Academy's Additional Secretaries, Savita Bakshi, Shamima Akhter and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn. The 3-Day event, which commenced with the symbolic signatures of Secretary Academy, has ten participants from across Jammu. Those who are participating in the event include Dheeraj Verma, Shakeel Ahmad Raza, Kabeer Rana, Sona Kapoor, Dheeraj Kapoor, Pooja, Arun Dogra, Rajini Bala, Kanchan Bloeria, and Savita Sharma. The event is being supervised by Academy's exhibition officer, Parvez Akhter while Academy's junior staff artist, Anil Tickoo is moderating it. |
