'Bichoo' staged by Natrang on World Theatre Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: Natrang celebrated World Theatre Day with the presentation of comedy play 'Bichoo' at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The occasion also marked the raising\day celebrations of the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar was the Chief Guest and the function was presided over by Atal Dullu, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism and Culture. The play Bichoo was based on world famous comedy play originally written in French by Moliere and was directed by Sumeet Sharma who is a post graduate in Dramatics and has been awarded with country's highest award for the youth in performing arts, 'Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Sangeet Natak Akademi Puraskar' for theatre direction and has successfully directed more than 25 plays. The presentation of the play was supported by J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages and 92.7 Big FM was the radio partner of the play. Speaking on the occasion, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur dwelt in detail about the concept behind world theatre celebrations which Natrang is celebrating in Jammu every year since the year 1985. Earlier the administrator of GZSAC, Dr. D.L. Choudhary, welcomed the dignitaries with the presentation of bouquets. . |
