After shocking NC, Azad wins criticism from PDP | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Jammu Mar 27 : Azad's Bhaderwah statement may have shocked the NationalConference but it has won him criticism from Peopels Democratic Party (PDP).The former Chief Minister and Union Health Minister has been accused ofignoring Kishtwar. Senior PD P leader from Kishtwar Shakir Hussain Siddiqui took a dig at Azad for his `bias' against Kishtwardistrict. In a press statement Saddiqui accused Congress of ignoring Kishtwar. He said that nearly 80% area of Kishtwar District is rural and sans basic facilities like health, education and road connectivity. He said that people of Kishtwar deserves better medicalfacilities. "It will be an injustice with the people of Kishtwar District in case out of 12 newly sanctioned hospitals by the Union Health Ministry, 3 are not given to Kishtwar District", he said. It was most unfortunate that not even a single hospital has been sanctioned for Kishtwar where as areas like Marwah,Warwan, Dachhan and Paddar lack without medical facility", he lamented. Contesting tall claims of former Chief Minister, Sidiquisaid Kishtwar District lags behind on the developmental front as compared to the other areas of the state. "People of Kishtwar are indire need of health facility. The District Hospital is totally defunct due to non availability of staff", he said. He urged the Health Minister to take appropriate measures in this regard. |
