Aggarwal bothers booked for cheating tourist

Jammu, Mar 27: Police today booked Aggarwal brothers and their manager for cheating tourist, police said.
As per police handout Madan Lal Aggarwal and Rakesh Kumar Aggarwal both sons of Krishan Lal Aggarwal of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu at present Raghu-nath Bazar, Jammu and their manager Madan Lal son of Nand Lal of Shahidi Chowk, Jammu were booked and accordingly presented the challan in case FIR No. 79 of 2011 u/s420/465/468/471/120-B/RPC, 6/13 Hoarding and Profiteering (Prevention) Ordinance , 2/32 Tourist Trade Act, 102/103/104/ 107 Trade Mark Act of P/S City, Jammu against them.
Trio was charge sheeted for cheating a tourist namely Raj Shrivastav son of Aditya Naryan Shrivastav R/o CK 64/68 Hirapur Varanasi on 18-06-2011 and over charging from him while selling inferior quality blankets to him.
During the investigation it was transpired by police that not only they were instrumental for cheating the tourist who was visiting the city of temples with religious sentiments but the shops named and styled asJ&K Handloom and Khadi Udhyog Corporation and Ladakh Handloom and Khadi Udhyog Corpor-ation, Raghunath Bazar, Jammu were being run by the said accusedfor duping gullible tourists by displaying the boards of J&K and Ladakh Handloom Corpo-rations and the shops were not even registered with the Handloom and Handicrafts departments.
Pertinent to mention here that the business of the accused persons was earlier also black listed by the Tourism department during the year 1994.
Police spokesperson stated that Madan Lal Aggarwal and Rakesh Agarwal also remained involved in numerous cases in different 5 police stations of Jammu district.
