| Implement 'PM's employment package' at earliest | | | early times report Jammu, Mar 27: Jagti Tenement Committee migrant Camp JagtiNagrota was convened under its chairman B L Raina to discuss the problems ofthe KP migrants and demanded early implementation of PM package. Addressing the meeting S L Pandita. President of theCommittee demanded the enhancement of the Cash Assistance for the migrants familyupto 15000/ per family. The meeting said that the Prime Minister of India hadgranted employment package for the KP migrant of 6000/ posts out of which hardly 1500/ posts have been filled amongst from the KP migrants and rest of the postsremain unfilled. It demanded of the government to go in for advertising there maining posts of the package so that the unemployed KP youth get a job andthat too before turning overaged. The governments need to create 500 class IVposts for KP migrants on which the less qualified youth of KP migrant communitycan be appointed. So far the return and rehabilitation of the KP migrant communityis concerned the Committee reiterated its demand for providing of one time lumpsum compensation to each migrant family of Rs50.0 lacs for the construction of theirhouses in the valley. The Govt. should immediately go in for assessing allthese losses prepare the information of the encroachments and of the sale madeof the landed properties of temples and get all such acts reversed to restorethe original position.
