| JUTA to intensify its stir in support of its demands | | | early times report Jammu, Mar 27: Jammu University Teachers' Association (JUTA) University of Jammu, has demand total implementation of Sixth Pay Commission recommendations and release ofsalary arrears. Teachers of the Jammu University under the banner of Jammu University Teachers' Association (JUTA) today held dharna forthe second consecutive day in front of the Administrative Block to express their resentment against the non-implementation of the whole package of the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations and the outstanding salary arrears due tocommission. The teachers expressed their serious concern on the callousin difference of the concerned authorities towards their genuine demands. Deliberating on the demand, the teachers in one voice expressed their strong resentment on the delay in the implementation of the whole UGC package including the enhancement of age of superannuation to 65 years,which in turn has delayed the reimbursement of the 80 percent of arrears from MHRD. The teachers unanimously resolved to continue the agitationfor full day with the suspension of class work from tomorrow. The teachers alsore solved to intensify the agitation in the next week if their voice is notgiven due hearing. |
