| Guru Teg Bahadur Hockey Tournament | | Gandhi Nagar, Govind Club win in hockey | | early times report
Jammu, Mar 27: Gandhi Nagar Club won the inaugural match outplaying BKD Club 7-2 in the Guru Teg Bahadur Hockey Tournament, organ-ised by Khalsa Club under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today. Sikan-derpal Singh was star striker, who sounded the board thrice in the 16th, 24th and 50th minute of the match. Amandeep Singh also played well contributing to goals to the score netting in 18th and 38th minute. Other two goals came through Kara-nvir Singh (2nd) and Jagjit Singh (6th). From BKD Club, both the goals were scored by Abinandan Gupta in the 20th and 23rd minute. Meanwhile, in the second match of the day, Gobind Club blanked Diamond Club making it 6-0. Davin-derpal Singh (23rd and 45th), Parveen Singh (28th) and Jaswinder Singh (35th, 37th and 40th) were the scorers. In all, 10 teams are taking part in this tournament on knock-out basis. |
