| BSnl's 'connecting India' fails in Rajouri' | | | Amit Sharma
Rajouri, Mar 27: India's largest telecommunication company BSNL having slogan 'Connecting India' is not fulfilling the desire of Rajourians and we can say that this service provider is not upto mark in 'Connecting Rajouri'.
In the area it is providing the service of landlines, mobile telephony and internet (EVDO + Broadband) facility to people, but none of these seem to fulfill their needs. Whereas mobile telephony is concerned, at least once in a week or even many days the whole system dashes down and customers suffer badly.
Even on the previous big festivals of Diwali and Eid-ul-Azha, people were crying due to non-functioning of mobile telephony of BSNL. On regular basis, BSNL prepaid, postpaid, e-recharge, WLL etc, all just seem like a mockery with customers because they can neither make nor receive calls nor can send SMS.
Whereas the Landline facility of this telecom service provider is concerned, the worst condition of wiring in the urban and rural areas tells the whole story. Everywhere in streets and roads, these wires are spread like the web of spider. Whenever BSNL Distt authorities are asked about such a condition of landline wiring , they have only one excuse : Tendering is complete and private firm will soon start work for betterment of landline wiring.
Last but not the least, comes the internet facility of BSNL which is also not satisfactory to coustomers. Oftenly Broadband facility and wireless internet facility of BSNL goes to cool bag creating hurdles for educational institutions, traders, private users and even for jurnos.
Time and again locals have held protests against BSNL in Rajouri and even some political parties warned to place a lock on the exchange door but no sort of betterment has been done in the overall system of India's largest Telecom provider.
Whenever BSNL service stops its heartbeat for hours, day or even several days and related authorities are contacted upon they have a orally revised answer. |
