20th Senior, 11th Sub Junior National Wushu Championships
M Loyangan of Manipur bags gold in Changuan boys

JAMMU, Mar 28: M Loyangan of Manipur exhibited sharp reflexes, anticipation and extraordinary motor ability to clinch gold in Sub Junior Taolu Group-C Boys event by securing 8.89 points in the ongoing 20th Senior and 11th Sub Junior National Championships, being organized by Wushu Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council and Department of Youth Services and Sports at MA Stadium, here. Marshal Sing of Assam clinched silver in this event by scoring 8.76 points, while Roshan of Punjab bagged silver with 8.75 points. The officiating panel in this event included Head Judge Prem Kumar (Arunachal Pradesh), Assistant Head Judge, Vijender Singh (UP), Minish Sharma (UP), Ablash (MP), Sumit Kumar (Bihar), Srikanth (Kerala), Hera Singh (Assam Rifles) and Fourwell of Maghalaya.
Meanwhile, in below 48 kg boys Senior Category, Abhishekh Jamwal of J&K-A team toppled Vinod Bisht of Odisha to move into the next round. In other bouts of this event, Kuldeep Singh of Punjab trounced Ranjit Singh of Manipur, Sanjoy Singh of Nagaland got better of Manoj Karamkar of Dadar Nagar, Pankaj Koshta of MP thrashed Ganesh Das of Arunachal to advance in the championship. Sunny Kumar of Himachal Pradesh outplayed Baremor Kharmuti of Meghalaya, while Puspajit Roy of West Bengal outclassed Riyaz Nawaz of Chhattisgarh in a tough contest. Vllawsima of Mizoram prevailed over Fateh Sang of Gujarat to enter the pre-quater finals, while Fateh Singh of Delhi defeated Diptanu Satyradhar of Tripura to advance in the championship. Laxsman of Goa, Ashok Kumar of Uttrakahand, Jayant Kumar of Bihar, Utchit Sharma of Uttar Pradesh and M Chandra Singh of SSCB prevailed over Nisam PP, Mohd Shahbaz, Ravbindra Gouda, Abbobacket Siddique and Siyaram of Kerala, AP, Karnataka, Lakshdeep and Jharkhand respectively to advance in the championships. The panel of experts who performed the duty of judges in this event included Rajesh Kumar Tailor (Rajasthan), Manoj Jha (Gujarat), Manoj Gupta (MP), Harvinder (Rajasthan) and Naresh of Delhi. The local officials included Ajay Gill, Ranjeet, Vineet, Narinder, Gurbachan, Gurdeep, Satika, Harvinder, Jyoti, Anamika, Rekha, Shifali, Mousmi and Gurdeepika.
The bouts were still on at all the venues in all the events.
