'Woh Jo Kho Gaya' depicts materialistic pursuits | | | early times report Jammu, Mar 28- 'Woh Jo Kho Gaya'-a stage play based on bitter realities of society was staged late on Wednesday at Abhinav theatre under the ongoing annual drama festival. Written by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan and directed by Vijay Kapoor, the play was presented by Natyakarmi to highlight the nature of people who run after wealth and leave behind humanity without thinking of the end of their life. The wealth becomes of no use when such people become victims of vices like drug abuse etc while the cause of serving humanity always remains alive during such situations. The story very nicely portrays human tendency of acquiring wealth regardless of repercussions. Starring Rohitashiv Sharma, Rohini Jamwal, Kannav Chopra, Rubina Rajput, Ayaan Ali, Himanshu Bakshi, Lucky Gupta, Anu Jamwal and Narinder Gupta 'Woh Jo Kho Gaya' was a successful play as far as its portrayal of growing materialism is concerned. The ongoing festival continues till April 1, with performance of various theatre groups to entertain the fun lovers of Jammu with the plays that have some story and message combining strong expressions of acting, techniques of dialogue delivery and script writing. Commenting on the festival, Academy's senior drama instructor, Sudhir Mahajan said that the quality and thoughtful theatre plays an important role in highlighting and resolving the issues of the society through artistic expressions and through the ongoing event an attempt is being made to achieve the goal. |
