| Omar promises 'New Vehicles' to legislators | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 28: Chief Minster Omar Abdullah on Wednesday offered a 'lollypop' to all the members of the state legislature by promising them new vehicles shortly.
Participating in the discussion on demands for his departments Omar Abdullah responded favourably to the demand put forward by the members of the house for new vehicles.
"Now only two days are left in this year and I cannot provide new vehicles as demanded by you but I promise you all that in the next budget I will keep a sum of Rs 7 crore to get all new vehicles for all the members of the house," said Omar on the floor of the House. His announcement received cheers from all the members who are faced with day to day problems owing to old vehicles. |
