| Highlighting demands, FCI workers stage protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 28: The Food Corporation of India Workers Union, Jammu and Kashmir Region has been holding mass demonstration and protest outside the office of Manager (D) s through-out the state observing complete bandh for the last two days to press the Management to concede their long pending genuine demands. Speaking on the occasion the leaders on workers union highlighted their demands like Release of arrears on account of revised MGW w.e.f 01-01-2012; Revision of ASOR on half-yearly basis Fulfillment of vacancies on PDS pattern to cover the storage of labourers and Restoration of OTA as per MGW Act. They said that workers of FCI have been suffering since long due to non-redressal of grievances for not conceding their above demands and according started on country-wide strike with complete bandh
Among those who spoke included H.C. Sharma, Vice president, Jamat Ali, Yaqoob Hussain, Mohd. Hussain, Mohd. Sultan, Milkhi Ram, Bawa Ram and others.
