| 'Nadir Shah...' staged at Abhinav theatre | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 29: 'Nadir Shah De Naa Khat'-a Punjabi stage play was staged late on Thursday at Abhinav theatre under Cultural Academy's ongoing annual drama festival 2012.
Written by S. Kirpal Singh Kasali, the play was directed by Dr. Jasmeet Kour.
It was a Balraj Sahni Punjabi Rangmanch presentation which highlighted the psychological as well as societal complexities of the modern day society.
The story of 'Nadir Shah...' revolves around the struggle of a woman and her family against the malpractices of a ruthless and corrupt social set up.
As a play 'Nadir Shah...' very sophisticatedly portrays as to how circumstances can force a person to tread unthinkable paths; routes which an honest person would other prefer to avoid.
Starring Vaneet Sharma, Shishupal Khajuria, M. Javed, Gagandeep Singh, Som Nath Azad, and Sushma 'Nadir Shah...' succeeded in telling a very poignant tale. |
