| Bank Invitational Gold Cup Football Tourney announced | | | early times report
Srinagar, Mar 29: Jammu & Kashmir Bank is going to organise All India J&K Bank Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament in the ensuing summer in Srinagar. About 12 teams from J&K state and 6 top national teams shall be invited to compete for the title.
This was announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Sports Board Chairman, Tafa-zal Hussain, here today.
"The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Mushtaq Ahmad gave his approval today for conducting the tournament.
Following the approval, we shall be working out necessary details, and raising necessary infrastructure for smooth conduct of this historic maiden tournament," he said.
He further stated that the tournament is proposed to be conducted under the auspices of All India Football Federation/ J&K football association and the said organizations are being shortly approached for the purpose. All details in this regard shall be released in due course.
Notably, J&K Bank has been on the fore front to promote various sports activities in the state and the Bank proposes to organize this Invitational Gold Cup on annual basis. |
