Forest magistrate to probe incident of "police search" at Gola's house | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 29: In a complaint filed by Rajat Jandial, son of Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah against Jaipal Sharma (SHO, Gangyal), Bishnesh Kumar (SHO, Gandhi Nagar), Abdul Jabbar (IPS), DSP Mohan Lal Kaith (SDPO, south) and Rajeshwer Singh (SP, South) and above 50 other police personnel, alleging that they had searched his entire house without any search warrant from the court or adopting due procedure of law, special municipal magistrate V S Bhau today directed forest magistrate, Jammu, to conduct a detailed inquiry in the matter to prove allegations thoroughly to ascertain the truthfulness or otherwise of the complaint in accordance with the provisions of law. He asked the forest magistrate to submit the inquiry report on April 17, 2012. After hearing the counsel for the petitioner, the judge observed that instead of taking suo moto action for contemptuous language used against these officers at this stage, the court deemed it proper to take action under law after the conclusion of fresh inquiry which was imperatively required to be conducted. |
