| VREA holds dharna against SRTC mgt | | |  early times reprot
JAMMU, Mar 29: Volun-teer Retirement Employees Association (VREA) under the leadership of president Dev Raj Bali and General Secretary organised a Dharna at Exhibition Ground on Thursday. The protesters raised slogan against State Govern-ment and SRTC management for their adamant attitude for not clearing pending dues, 126 slabs of COLA, pending arrears since 1999 and implementation of 6th Pay Commission in their respect.
Speaking to media persons Bali said that SRTC management wrongly represented their case before Finance Department in addition on one sided VRS was given forcibly while on the other hand management started recruitment directly whereas as per rule same is to be done through JKSSRB, the reasons behind same is not known.
The leaders demanded clearance of liabilities of 670 VRS employees for which State Government has already given a package. They also appealed to J and K, Finance Department to take up the case in hand and disburse dues directly and not through SRTC management as they were cheated by the management earlier.
Leaders also draw attention of SRTC management to implement Government order No 237-F of 2010 dated 30th August. Other leaders who also addressed the gathering include Balwinder Singh, B.V Sharma, Asan Elahi, Surjit Singh, Mohd Sharief, Ashok Kumar, D.N Sharma, Balbir Singh and others. |
