| Strike by Sarafa association enters day 13 | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 29: The strike of Sarafa Association and Swarankar Sangh, Jammu under the leadership of General Secretary Ajay Vaid, Raj Kumar Babbar, Kulbushan Anand entered thirteenth day on Thursday. A total of 25 Yuva Sawarankars also sat on hunger strike on Thursday. While addressing a joint press conference Parjan Kumar Jain said that Swarankars community shall not rest till their genuine demands are fulfilled and union government rolls back imposed draconian excise duty immediately.
Parjan also warned that their hunger strike will continue till their rightful demands are met. Mean-while a memorandum along with Swarankar Singh leaders from Kashmir province comprising of Chairman Nazir Ahmad Shah, Mohd Amin, Abdul Rahim , Parvez Ahmed, Khalid Iqbal was jointly prepared and submitted to Chief Minister Omar Abdulla to intervene and address their burning dema-nds earliest.
Swarankar Sangh Kashmir while expressing solidarity with Jammu association assured that both wings are one and both constitutes an absolute body. We will not rest till this draconian tax does not rescind till that time all shutters of swarankars of State will remain shut. A total of 25 students sat on hunger strike on Thursday.
Others who also attended the strike include Rocky Kapoor, Rajesh Verma, Sanjeev Vaid, Rajinder Luthra and Gurbachan. |
