| Mehbooba got Omar transfixed after pushing him to baseline | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 29: Chief minister Omar Abdullah pushed to baseline by aces fired by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti was transfixed there for most of the time during his about more than two-hour long speech.
He had no answer to accusations leveled against the government by PDP president, and at times, he did try to deflect the issues by simply bringing in the alleged wrong doing committed in the PDP president.
Omar didn't response to the charges of property brought by J&K Bank in Mumbai at a escalated cost of Rs 200 by the Navin Garewal, who as Mehbooba had said was made director of the Bank simply because he is friend of Omar Abdullah.
PDP president had even submitted papers in this regard to the Speaker.
It was the ace to which Omar was caught not just wrong footed but got transfixed there. In his lenghthy speech he didn't touch the subject.
As predicted it was advantage Mehbooba but what was not expected that it would appear a one sided game.
Mehbooba had wanted to know the fate of Lakhs of rupees collected by deceased Haji Yousaf, who had claimed that money was sought by NC for giving ministerial births and MLC seats.
The CM, who had put brave and at time aggressive face, during this controversy, left the issue untouched. Though, the issue concerned home department and death had taken place as deceased had died after coming from his resident, he rather complemented the police then letting the public know the answer to this important query.
The game on fairness and transparency had just simply slipped from the hands of the Omar at this moment before it was all over.
PDP president in the presence of media gallery and legislators had submitted papers on alleged fraud committed by the JKCA . It was something to which public had accepted a strong answer if not rebuttal.
But the dynamic chief minister was clearly on his knees on this allegations and simply curised through the match in defeated manner by just ignoring it.
What he did manage to tell was just the repetation of what he has been saying for the last three-year which was nothing more than a rehashing of old Governor address in which contents had remained same though dates have changed. |
