Goni to accompany Indian team to South Africa as manager | | | Early Times Report jammu, Mar 29: The controversial chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Mohammad Aslam Goni has been deputed by the BCCI as the manager of the country's cricket team to South Africa. Goni who has been in the middle of a serious controversy following the unearthing of a multi-crore fraud in the JKCA has come under attack from more than 40 of the 62 JKCA working committee members who recently met in Srinagar and appealed the JKCA President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah to have the fraud investigated by the CBI. The working committee members of the JKCA have publicly blamed Goni for mismanagement of the associations affairs which led to misappropriation of huge funds. Working committee members have expressed shock at the BCCI decision to depute Goni with the country's cricket team during its tour of South Africa. The Indian cricket team is scheduled to play its first T20 match with South Africa tomorrow. |
