Jammu, Mar 30: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today underlined the role of J&K State Overseas Employment Corporation Limited (JKSOECL) in opening substantial overseas job market for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. "We underline the role of JKSOECL in opening substantial overseas job market for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir", Omar said while chairing the meeting of the Board of Directors of JKSOECL here. "You should work with a missionary zeal and strive for seeking job opportunities for the youth of the state in the international market", he asked the Corporation saying it should launch a website as early as possible and gradually convert it into a job portal. Omar told the Corporation to provide concrete information to aspiring youth about job opportunities and vacancies in various fields in foreign countries and help them get absorbed in overseas job market. The Chief Minister asked the Corportion to participate in the employment meet of Middle-East countries in Chandigarh which is taking place there very soon. He said the Corporation should also identify and ascertain such events taking place in the country and prepare a calendar of these meets for regular participation. Omar also directed the Corporation to draw up a list of Ambassadors of various countries in India where from lot of overseas recruitment takes place. |
