| SLSC meeting held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 30 : The 22nd meeting of the State Level Security Committee (SLSC) was held at Reserve Bank of India, Jammu here today. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of BR Sharma, Financial Commissioner (Home), Government of Jammu & Kashmir. The meeting was attended by K K Saraf, Regional Director, Jammu & Kashmir, Reserve Bank of India, senior officers from police department, Airport Authority of India, Railways, Fire and Emergency Services, BSNL, and controlling heads of all the banks operating currency chests. K K Saraf, Regional Director, RBI in his opening remarks highlighted the latest developments in the area of currency management as also various initiatives taken by the Reserve Bank of India to counter the menace of fake notes. The Chairman BR Sharma called upon the banks to further strengthen the security measures at branch level and ensure functioning of the security gadgets threat on an ongoing basis. |
