| IDP organises seminar on alternative model of development | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Mar 30: Internationalist Democratic Party (IDP) organised 3rd national seminar on alternative model of development here today.
While welcoming the audience president IDP I D Khajuria made out his point on nature centric model of development as a prototype. He said that the present on going individual centred corporate model of development is an utter failure and the same cannot be the dream of the 21st Century.
The seminar is an effort to workout a Community based model of sustainable development which is to be in consonance with Nature rather than in clash.
Prof Yogender Yadav stressed for alternative model of development stressing that the American /European Model of Development in which each individual is to consume the maximum resources of nature without the capacity to replenish the same has plunged into crisis even in those economies /societies who were pioneers of the said model.
Anil Chamdia, renowned journalist and writer said that in order to take the alternative model of development to the masses alternative people media also needs to be developed in contrast to the prevalent corporate media. |
