| Madan supports JUTA, seeks intervention of Guv, CM | | | Early Times Report
New Delhi, Mar 31: Terming their demands as genuine, the Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Madan Lal Sharma has extended his support to the agitation of Jammu University Teachers Association (JUTA) He appealed the Chief Minister and Governor for early redressal of their genuine demands like implementation of 6th pay commission in totality in reference to the UGC package.
Sharma said that Jammu University is a premier institute of educational excellence and it is unfortunate to note that the teachers of the university are on road to press for their rights. He also desired that the Vice Chancellor of the university should take up the issues with Governor and CM on top priority and act as a bridge in resolving the same. MP said that because of the agitation of teachers, students are suffering as this is the time of examinations and new admissions. He desired that state government should address the issue on top priority so that university functions properly. He also assured to president and other members of JUTA to take the issue with state government on their behalf for its early redressal. |
