| Sainik Colony Club wins opening tie in football | | | early times report
JAMMU, Mar 31-Sainik Colony Club won the inaugural match outplaying Young Star by two goals to one in football tournament, organised by Sainik Cooperative Society at Sainik Colony ground, near here today. Though Young Star took first lead with Abhishek netting the ball in the 12th minute, yet Sainik Colony emerged winner by scoring two goals after the breather.
Ishan and Harmohinder were the scorers, who struck in 45th and 69th minute of the match respectively.
Earlier, the knock-out competition was declared open by Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla. Speaking to the gathering, Minister appreciated the Cooperative Society for organising the event thereby providing a chance to the budding talent. |
