| Mehbooba to address Doha WIF | | | Jammu, Jan 24
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and Member Parliament, Mehbooba Mufti has been invited to address the prestigious global leader’s conference at the 2007 U.S-Islamic World Forum in Doha, Qatar.
Hosted by the Brookings Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World in collaboration with the Saban Center for Middle East Policy, the conference would commence on February 17, 2007 at Doha. Policymakers, key political figures, NGO leaders, cultural icons and opinion-shapers from the United States and Muslim states and communities from around the world will engage in three days of meetings from February 17 to February 19 to share their ideas on various issues confronting the Muslim world.
The theme of the 2007 US-Islamic World Forum is "Confronting what divides us". The objective is to discuss the dangerous tension that has built up between the United States and the world's Muslim states and communities today.
This annual dialogue has become the premiere convening body for American and Muslim world leaders in the fields of politics, business, media, academia, science, arts, and civil society. The conference serves as a platform to convene and catalyze positive action towards the challenges facing the Muslim world.
