Govt insincere towards KPs rehabilitation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 31:Alleging that state government is insincere towards return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Nagrota said today that delaying policy of the authorities is a major roadblock in resolving problems of the community. Addressing a press conference here today, JTC president Shadi Lal Pandita said alleged that the present coalition government is befooling the community which is evident from the fact that several committees were framed since 1990 to recommend measures for return and rehabilitation of KPs back to valley but the Govt always tried to derail the process of return. He said that more shocking is the fact that despite announcing 6000 posts for KP youths and 1500 posts were filled up till date and the KP youths despite sitting on dharna demanding appointment orders under the PMs package the Govt is watching just like a spectator. He urged the authorities to solve the problems of Jagti inmates and provide basic amenities like adequate transport facility, repair of roads from Kandoli Morh, proper sanitation, police post, shops for migrant traders, improvement in water supply, completion of hospital repair of residential blocks & allotment of flats to left over families of previous campus. |
