14 JK handicrafts dealers fined for violating trade norms | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Mar 31 The Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed a fine of Rs 3,900 on 14 handicrafts dealers around Srinagar International Airport for violating tourist trade norms. "A team of Quality Control wing conducted inspection of handicraft merchandise of dealers operating their business in and around International Airport yesterday. The dealers were penalised for violation of Tourist Trade and Quality Control Act and a penalty of Rs 3,900 was realised on spot from 14 erring dealers," an official spokesman said here today. He said all handicrafts dealers were warned not to indulge in malpractices as it brings a bad name to Kashmir handicrafts. |
