| Mountaineering association holds meeting | | |

G.R. Beig President of Mountaineering Association of J&K held annual general body meeting at Jammu. After reviewing its activities the association expressed satisfaction over the performance of its participants who participated in Zonal and national level sport climbing competitions.
The association retained the North Zone Sport Championship by winning six gold medals (out of 8), four silver (out of 8) and five bronze (out of11).
The association expressed in grief about the shortage of equipments and absence of infrastructure like artificial climbing walls and gymnasium and shortage of funds. The funds for the current year have not been released by sports council.
G.R. Beig , President of association stressed the need for concerted efforts and sincere dedication to rise the standard of game to involve more and more youth in the activities of association.
