K.C. Public School makes a clean sweep in climbing c’ship

K.C. Public School Jammu made a clean sweep in boys “lead climbing “while M.N.D.P school, R.S. Pura secured all the positions in sub junior boys category in the J&K State open sport climbing Championship held at M.N.D.P school R.S. Pura. The boys and girls tittles in speed climbing were bagged by Gurpal Singh of MHAC School, Nagbani and Momina of Oriental Academy Jammu.
In the boys “lead climbing “Sidhant Khajuria of K.C. Public school topped the 40ft. high wall to secure first place. The 2nd & 3rd positions were bagged by Ishant Sharma and Anoop Gupta also of K.C. Public school.
In the girls “lead climbing“Palak of MHAC School, Nagbani clinched first position. The second and third positions were bagged by Chaya Pikhen and Arti Chaudhary, both of MNDP School R.S. Pura.
In the sub junior boys category crowd witnessed fieriest and finest competition from master Akshay , Ashish , Shahid, Gurpreet and Taj made some breath taking power moves to top the wall in style. A super final was held in which Ashish, Akshay and Shahid were declared joint winners.
In sped climbing Gurpal Singh of MHAC, Nagbani took 11.41seconds to emerge victorious. Sidhant and Ishant Sharma of K.C. Public school secured second and third place.
Speed climbing title in the girl category was won by Momina of Oriental Academy Chaya of MNDP School and Palak of MHAC School Nagbani bagged second and third place.
128 boys and girls from Jammu district participated in two day championship organized by Tawi Trekkers, J&K as a part of celebration of Silver Jubilee year of club.
Anil Chaudhary Principal MNDP School, R.S. Pura was the organizing secretary, where as Ram Khajuria, Gen. Secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K and a national judge of the game was the president of the jury. The technical team was headed by Shivati Koul of IBEXs Adventure Club, Harjout Kour and Shivani Raj Kaith. Yogeshwar Kumar, vice president of Mountaineering Association of J&K was the observer of the championship.
