Sagar inaugurates GYM at Zainda Shah Stadium | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Apr 1: Minster for Rural Development and Parliamentary affairs Ali Mohammad Sagar today inaugurated a Gymnasium (GYM) at Zinda Shah Stadium, Rainawari completed at an estimated cost of Rs 8 lakh. Sagar said that the government is committed to provide all the facilities to the sports persons and to promote sports culture in the state .He said that the infrastructural facilities will be developed in all parts of the state for the sports persons, so that they can compete and win in various National and International events and bring laurels to the state. The Minister stressed that the youth of our state have immense talent and the need is to nurture the same. He said that youth have a important role in the peace process and exhorted them to channelize their energies in positive direction for the development and prosperity of state. Later, the Minister planted a sapling at the Zinda Shah Stadium and distributed kits to various cricket and football teams on the occasion. Present on the occasion were Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Commissioner SMC. Dr. G.N. Qasba, Joint Secretary Sports Council, Prof. B.A. Shah. |
