| Sainik Colony-B wins one-sided tie in football | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 1: Sainik Colony-B Club today blanked D Club to reach the next round of ongoing Sainik Cooperative Society Football Tournament at Sainik Colony ground, near here. Leading by two goals in the first half, Sainik Colony improved their score to four thereby making it a one-sided contest. Hanish Pangotra struck twice netting the ball in eighth and 45th minute of the match. Other two goals came through Omar Rafiq (18th) and Navdeep Jamwal (65th).
Meanwhile, other three scheduled matches ended in walkover. Param Football Club got walkover Bhagat Singh Club while New Bharat awarded walkover Kathua Club. Mussa Club also got walkover in the absence of Jammu Sports.
Today's match was officiated by penal of referees including Rakesh, Sohan Kumar, Vijay Kumar and Koushal Kumar.
FIXTURE: SSS Lovers shall take on United XI at 1 pm; Jammu United to meet Young Rovers at 2.45 pm; Vijay Club shall be playing against NGR Club at 4 pm tomorrow. |
