| People protest dilapidated condition of Shaheedi Chowk-Mukherji Chowk road | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 1 : In protest against the substandard work and make shift arrangement to fill the potholes on road from Shaheedi Chowk to Mukherji Chowk, the people of Kathua held a protest demonstration against the ERA contractor, Municipal Council and local administration. The irate people expressed their anger over the negligence of the district administration and ERA due to which the condition of road from Shaheedi Chowk to Mukharji Chowk Kathua is worsening day by day and the people are facing the hardships and even their health is also adversely affected due to which fatal diseases are developing among the young and school going children. They lamented that the local leadership has also failed to improve the condition of the road. The protesting people claimed that the former power minister had urged the ERA to repair the road with black top but the concerned contractor refused to do so. |
