| Youth held for making "April fool" call to PCR | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: A youth was today apprehended by police for making a April fool call to PCR here, falsely stating that a bus crammed with passengers had fallen into a deep gorge at Kaldi on Barmeen road, resulting in death of several of them. Soon after the PCR received the call made at its No 100, rescue teams were rushed to Kaldi and district hospital authorities put on high alert. However, when the cops reached Kaldi, they came to know that the call had been made someone to make a fool of them on April 1.
The caller had identified himself as R K Sharma and made the call from his mobile number.
The matter was then brought to the notice of cyber cell, Udhampur, which led police to the arrest of the real caller who was identified as Sat Pal, son of Baldev Raj of Laddan. He was booked under relevant sections of laws. |
