| JU bags bronze in fencing | | | JAMMU, Apr 3: After lifting the overall championship trophy for two consecutive years, University of Jammu this time had to contain with a third position in the All India Inter-University Fencing Championship hosted by Anna University, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. However, team captain, Ujjwal Gupta won his third consecutive individual gold in Sabre event.A Post Graduate student of the University of Jammu, Ujjwal has won10 medals, including six gold, for JU in last four years of participation ininter-university competitions.
In Epee teamevent, JU won a bronze medal. The team was comprised of Varun, Dushyant, Ankushand Sahib.
Meanwhile,the overall championship in men's section went to Punjabi University Patiala. |
