| Sainik Co-operative Society Football Tournament organized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU,Apr 3: Jammu and Kashmir Bank Academy and Churchill Brothers defeated theirrespective rivals to advance in the ongoing Sainik Co-operative SocietyFootball Tournament, being organized by Sainik Cooperative Society under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association and J&K State Sports Council at Sainik Public Schoolground, here.
In the first match JK Bank Academy blanked Samba Football Club by two goals to nil (2-0) in an easy contest. Parveen Kumar netted the first goal in 20th minute in the first half, while Ishan Guptascored the second one in the 55th minute.
Finally, JK Bank Academy won the match by a margin of 2 goals. Jony Sharma of JK Bank Academy was shown yellow card for foul play.
In another match, Churchill Brothers trounced Hero Club in ahard fought match by two goals to nil.
Rohit shined for Churchill Brothers,scoring both the goals in 8th and 20th minute of the match, while Satvinder was the goal scorer for Hero Club in 22nd minute of the match.
Michael of Churchill Brothers was shown yellow card in 20th minute.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Kumar, Koushal Kumar,Vijay Kumar and Sohan Kumar, while the tournament is being held under the supervision of football coach Satpal Singh, the Organizing Secretary of thetournament. |
