JCC to stage protest on April 17

Jammu Apr 3: A day long session of Joint Consultative Committee of J&K Govt employees comprising of four factions of employees Joint Action Committees held at Jammu under the presidium of Mohd Khu rsheed Alam, Ram Kumar Sharma, Mohd Gafoor Oar and Ab Qayoom Wani EJAC (Q) and decided to observe one day token strike on April 17 against the betrayal of the govt.
The members in the joint session took strong exception of indifferent attitude of the state govt subjective to as a betrayal of the written agreement between the govt and representatives of JCC on 15th Sept. last year assuring to concede the demands by 31st March 2012. They however regretted that the govt has miserably failed to settle the issues amicably and compelling the employees community to resort to an agitation of still vigorous intensity.
The members called upon the state govt. to release budgetary support for PSC employees of the State who are victim and suffering for want of sixth pay arrear and cola in even in case of the public sector unit under realign loss. "The loss to these units occurred due to the mismanagement of politicians at the helm of the affairs and managing director, to release the budgetary support with out regard profit / loss of the units, they observed.
During the meeting of members under the banner of the JCC with one voice decided to observe one day token strike on 17th April 2012in protest against the betrayal of the govt and representatives to remain united against the apathetic approach of the state government towards its employees
Besides Ram Kumar Sharma and others who spoke on the occasion spoke on the occasion included Mohd. Gafoor Dar, Ab Qayoom Wani, Rafiq Ahmed Khaiyari, Fiyaz Shabnam, Murtzir, Mohi-ud-din, Balwan Singh Jamwal and Vijay Sharma.
