DTI among three suspended over 'corruption charges' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 3: Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) today placed under suspension a DTI, a traffic police cop and police driver following a complaint alleging their involvement in corrupt practices. Among those who have been placed under suspension included Inspector (DTI) Raj Kumar, Driver Jagdeep Singh and Constable Raman, sources said. According to the informed sources, SSP Traffic Manmohan Singh, acting on the directions from the Police Head Quarter Jammu following a complaint, taking prompt action placed three traffic police cops including a DTI on the allegations of corruption. "The SSP has also seized the challans book from the possession of DTI and the department investigation in this regard has been ordered to unearth the facts," the sources said, adding police officials in PHQ have taken a strong note of the complaint. |
