The land for this road has to be acquired for 24 Mts width (12 mtr each from the centre line of the road). The cost of the land amounting to Rs. 21.22 crore was deposited by BEACON authorities with Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara in July, 2008, out of which Rs. 11.62 crore stands disbursed by D. C. Kupwara. As per the reports of the BEACON authorities, land upto 6.80 km has been handed over in patches till date.
