| SVO produces challan against former Accounts Asstt. in a disproportionate assets case | | | Srinagar, January 24
The State Vigilance Organisation produced challan against a former Account Assistant of Finance Department on charges of accumulating assets worth lakhs of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Authoritative sources while disclosing this to KNS revealed that a case under FIR.No:21/2001 stands already registered against a former Accounts Assistant of Finance Department Mohd Hafeez Rafiqui S/O Peer Mohd Yaseen Rafiqui R/O Ompora Housing Colony Budgam.
The Accounts Assistant, according to sources, has while in active service accumulated assets worth lakhs of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income. The Vigilance got clues about the purchase of some land plots and construction of a house by him in housing colony Ompora Budgam.
The State Vigilance Organisation found two land plots bearing nos: 447,139 existing in his name on which two houses are being constructed presently and took both the land plots into its custody. The sources also told KNS that a challan has been produced against the former Accounts Assistant in the anti-corruption court in this connection.
