| Doda Migrants submit memorandum to PM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Apr 4 : Doda Migrants suffering during last 20 years due to militancy led by Chairman of Erstwhile Doda Migrants Ghulam Mohid-ud-Din submitted their memorandum of demands to Prime Minister of India. Pertinent to mention here after staging protest in support of their demands at Mubarak Mandi for months to which the state government turned Nelson's Eye, the Doda migrants marched for New Delhi on March 27 on foot and submitted memorandum to Prime minister on March 29.
Besides this the Doda Migrants staged a protest at Janter Manter in support of their main demand to be treated at par with Kashmiri Migrants and given the same status. Other demands highlighted on the occasion included registration of displaced people from militancy affected areas as Migrants should be done on spot verification grounds, Relief should be given to us with effect from year 1996 as per the orders of Supreme Court and state High Court. |
