| PDP protests frequent power cuts, water scarcity | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Apr 4 : Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) held a strong protest demonstration at Parade Chowk against Power Development Department (PDD) and PHE for unscheduled power cuts and acute shortage of drinking water. The protest was led by Vikram Singh district vice president Jammu Urban, Girish Sharma, Pankaj Gupta and Sachin Sharma. PDP workers assembled near Parade Ground and shouted slogans against state government for frequent power cuts and scarcity of drinking water.
They demanded proper power supply and clean water in Jammu city. Vikram Singh, warned the PDD not to test with the patience of the people and ensure regular supply of electricity. He said that the area is metered but still people are not supplied regular power which speaks how much the PDD keeps its promise of round the clock supply of electricity in Jammu city areas. |
