| Harsh moves privilege motion, alleges incorrect inf in Guv address | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Apr 4: On the concluding day of Budget session of Assembly, MLA and leader of Panthers Party in the House Harsh Dev Singh moved privilege motion against the government for what he said providing wrong and incorrect information in the Governor's Address with regard to two important issues.
Raising up the issue during Zero Hour, Harsh Dev, while alleging false and misleading information was incorporated in the details with regard to Madhymaki Shiksha Abhiyan and the schools under the campaign , as also in the scheme pertaing to Panchayats named Panc-hayat Yuva Krida Abhiyan, sought stringent action against Ministers, bureaucrats and other concerned authorities who had supplied this wrong information in the Legislative Assembly. Deputy Speaker Sartaj Madni who was in the chair took serious note of the issue and directed the Finance Minister, A R Rather to have the facts verified in the light of the Privilege Motion and process the case for appropriate proceedings.
Expressing concern, Harsh alleged that 'such behavior constituted willful defiance of Supremacy of the House and amounted to contempt of Legislature besides breach of privilege of members…. House requires to take cognizance of such unscrupulous and reckless behavior of concerned government . functionaries and proceed against them under prevalent norms, practices and rules of Procedure of the Assembly", he added. |
